SOCIAL SERVICES
Assisting with resume preparation, developing potential job skills, interview practice, and guidance for local service jobs. We also help individuals explore career options and network within the local community for references to potential employers. Assistance is freely provided by volunteer instructors.
Job Development Services
With a certified IRS tax filing staff, NYTSC is equipped to help the community to file their individual or family annual tax returns. We hope to have this service to help the Tibetan Community in filing their tax accurately while having language access.
Filing Basic Tax Returns
Aiding individuals by understanding their eligibility for federal/state support that provides immigrants with food, unemployment, medical and rent assistance. NYTSC also aids in filing for Medicaid, Retirement, Supplemental Security Insurance (SSI/SSDI), SNAP benefits, NY State ID, Health Care, and many more.
Public Assistance & Benefits
The center provides translation and interpretation assistance for the following languages: Tibetan, English, and Chinese. We can assist in the translation of written documents as well as verbal translation. We welcome clients to contact us regarding any of their translation needs.
Translation & Interpretation
Providing assistance in understanding the process and requirements when applying for immigration forms as well as obtaining American citizenship and/or residency. NYTSC also helps individuals with their residency, petitions for family members, and applying for visa applications.
Basic Immigration Forms
NYTSC works with many local businesses by filing for loans, grants, and other opportunities by the city, state, and federal programs. We aid business owners to apply for disaster loans, Payroll Protection Program (PPP), and U.S SBA loans.
