Tibetan Cultural School

We offer a comprehensive Tibetan culture and language school for Tibetan youth such as providing Tibetan language, culture, history, arts, and dance classes. The purpose of this program is to teach the Himalayan youth about their culture as it will help them learn who they are and the culture they came from. Members of the local Tibetan community are recruited to participate as teachers or volunteers in order to foster a stronger sense of importance in preserving the Tibetan culture together as one community.

Tibetan Cultural Theatre

Tibetan Cultural Theatre is a platform where actors and performers connect with individuals of similar backgrounds in New York City. It has become a medium through which the youth and newcomers can learn and actively participate in Tibetan cultural events. This also allows the creation of a supportive network of Tibetan actors who come from different professional backgrounds. Tibetan Cultural Theatre promotes the importance of maintaining a cultural identity for all Tibetan people in New York City.

Tibet Cultural Trip

Every summer we offer students and their family members to take a trip to Tibet to absorb the experiences with local Tibetans still living inside Tibet. This cultural excursion allows Western-born Tibetan youth an opportunity to experience their own culture first-hand by interacting and gaining insight into the livelihood of Tibetans within Tibet. Participation in the trip includes visits to historical sites, traditional meals, and immersion in Tibetan culture.

Update: This trip is currently on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic, safety guidelines, and travel risks. We will advertise on our social media platform once it reopens.
